Indigo Preparation

indigo.png

1) Take a bowl and pour the desired amount of indigo (usually used in combination with henna).

 2) Add water (the indigo does not need any acid substance to release the color).

3) Stir until the dough is the same density as a yogurt.

4) Mix very well if you use the indigo together with henna to avoid a not homogeneous color.

Indigo should be used immediately and does not require oxidation.

If there is no white hair, you can apply it on your own.

WARNING: do not use the indigo alone if you have white hair because it will turn blue.

DOUBLE PASSAGE METHOD TO COVER WHITE HAIR AND GET BLACK HAIR:

To cover white hair and you want a black color we recommend the double pass or first henna and then indigo.

Prepare the henna (lawsonia Inermis), apply it to the hair and rinse and dry after the setting time.

The white hair will have turned a red-orange color, do not worry, apply the indigo from the root to the tips and rinse off after the shutter speed.

Result covered white hair and a beautiful glossy black.

It is possible that to obtain the desired effect we need more applications.

If it is used with the henna for brown, brown and mahogany shades

Prepare the henna as explained above and add the indigo.

Curiosity:

It seems that the addition of 1 teaspoon of salt or bicarbonate helps to make the color take root better and to make it "download" less.
